I’m Lesley, the Founder and Director of Silver Lining Solutions. I have over 17 years’ experience within Recruitment working with a wide range of people and clients mainly within financial services. I decided to form SLS as I found my own circumstances changing. When thinking on what I wanted to do going forward, as I have always enjoyed working with people and helping them find either their dream role or a new role when simply requiring a change, I wanted to continue doing this.

Having helped many people over the years, many who have gone on to become good friends, my passion is assisting people and utilising my market knowledge to help support them every step of the job searching process. I have a good understanding of a variety of role changes, be it challenging management styles, uncomfortable environments or general unhappiness in a role. I can relate to many situations and have a personable, compassionate approach when listening to others and aim to always have a positive effect on someone’s life.

As a working Mum, spare time is usually taken up with filling my fridge for my two growing boys! Any spare time out of work is spent with my beautiful, most treasured horse who owes me nothing in return for the tranquility she brings me.

I was born in Jersey and was a pupil at Beaulieu Convent School under the watchful eye of the Nuns! The employment market was very different when I left school and opportunities were abundant. You could literally step in to any role that you thought you might like. I started out along the secretarial/admin route and then found myself in an HR role which I really enjoyed.

This led to me discovering my enjoyment for the recruitment side and helping people find what they felt they were missing in their day to day working lives. Over 17 years later and whilst a lot has changed, my passion still remains to help people find their right place, balance and an enjoyment for what they do.
